Founded in 1984 Works & Process (“W&P”) has been a pioneer in commissioning, developing and presenting performing arts programming in a museum setting. The artistic programs are designed to illuminate the creative process of artists by blending in-process performance highlights and world premieres with unique discussions with the artists about the creation and intention of a new work.

The Maine Children’s Alliance (MCA) is a public policy, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Maine children, youth and families through research, collaboration and advocacy. For 25 years, MCA has promoted best policies and practices to make sure all Maine children have the resources and opportunity to reach their full potential from birth to adulthood. Activities include collecting and analyzing state data, partnering with organizations and coalitions, and promoting data-driven policy decisions. MCA works to inform, empower, and inspire parents and providers, practitioners and organizations, and advocates and policy makers to make Maine a better place to be a kid.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Food for Health Program

Founded in 1972, Bowdoin Street Health Center (BSHC), is BIDMC’s flagship community health center, and has been a cornerstone of Dorchester’s Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhood for more than 40 years. At the health center, BIDMC physicians and medical staff provide critical pediatric and adult primary care, with a specialization in chronic disease management, integrated behavioral health, and maternal care. In order to help meet the increasing hunger insecurity in the Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhood during the COVID-19 pandemic, BSHC is committed to providing increased food access for families.

Historic Hudson was created in 1996 to advocate for the preservation and cultural heritage of the historic architecture of the city of Hudson, NY. Historic Hudson has rescued and designated historic landmarks in the city and is now in the process of renovating and enhancing 100 underutilized acres of the 162-acre NYS Hudson Correctional Facility for a much needed public access park.

The Academy of the Pacific Rim (APR) is a charter public school serving 540 students in grades 5-12 in Hyde Park, a neighborhood in Boston. Its mission is to “empower students from all racial and ethnic backgrounds to achieve their full intellectual and social potential.” This vision is accomplished by holding students to high expectations and standards academically and ensuring that all students have the supports and opportunities to develop socially and emotionally. APR programs move students along a path that consistently leads to agency and further education.

The Prepatory Foundation for Boston Prep

To support the addition of an Alumni Counselor in its Persistence Project that helps Boston Prep graduates successfully navigate the college experience, as well as to provide support for the Persistence Project’s micro-grant program.
The Preparatory Foundation directly supports the operation of Boston Prep, a Commonwealth charter school, accepting Boston students via a public lottery and serving them in grades six through twelve with a mission to prepare students to succeed in four-year colleges and to embody, in thought and action, lifelong ethical growth.
Over the past year, Boston Prep completed a robust research project to better understand the factors associated with college success. That research revealed several factors associated with success, including active coaching for college students, rapid credit accumulation, deep engagement on campus, and having a “posse” for support. In response to these findings, Boston Prep is launching a pilot of a redesigned Persistence Project, an ongoing program that provides intensive support to students in college.

Long Table Harvest is a grassroots organization founded in 2015 with the mission to cultivate social and economic equality in the local food system through dynamic, inclusive and creative collaborations across a diverse rural community. Long Table Harvest focuses on gleaning and distributing fresh fruits, vegetables and meats from local farms to food pantries and through its Mobile Grocer program as a way of alleviating the burden hunger plays on the community.
