Julie Wack
Julie Wack has been the Executive Director of the Foundation since 1995. She is responsible for all day to day operations of the foundation, as well as serving as the primary contact for grant applicants. She was an integral contributor to and coordinator of one of the Foundation’s long-term projects: The Catalogue for Philanthropy.
She has served on the Board of Directors of the Waltham Boys and Girls Club and the Waltham Education and Beyond Foundation, as well as numerous youth sports programs. As a longtime foster parent, Julie is particularly interested in programs that work with underserved and at-risk youth and programs that address educational inequality and access. She lives with her family outside of Boston.
Hardy Watts
Hardy Watts is the fourth President of the Foundation and the great-grandson of its founder. He has served on the Board since 2007. A longtime teacher before attending law school, his philanthropic focus is in education, especially for underserved populations.
A graduate of Princeton and Suffolk University Law School, Hardy lives outside of Boston and is raising three children. His eldest son, Hardy Jr., joined him on a recent Foundation trip to Haiti in support of a school-building grant there. When not practicing law or performing Foundation duties, Hardy loves history, crossword puzzles, and tabletop games.
