$25,000 to support the launch of the Promly app in the spring of 2022 that aims to address the mental health and wellness of teens and young adults.
In response to a looming mental health crisis and massive increase in teen suicides that started well before the pandemic, Promly joined with Gen Z themselves to imagine a solution that doesn’t wait for a crisis, but instead proactively “meets teens where they are at” – on their smartphones. Promly is a social enterprise that aims to unify a generation by empowering human connectedness and providing holistic support and education for GenZ in places they naturally gravitate to, both online and offline.

Ulster Immigrant Defense Network

An initial grant of $25,000 to support Ulster Immigrant Defense Network’s medical and legal fund program that provides much access to immigration and medical and dental services.

An additional grant of $25,000 to support Ulster Immigrant Defense Network’s emergency rental assistance program.


Ulster Immigrant Defense Network’s (UIDN) mission is to provide a network of welcome, safety and support to immigrants, regardless of immigration status. UIDN was formed in 2017 by a group of concerned residents and members of various faith-based communities in response to the past administration’s immigration policies.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Bowdoin Street Health Center)

$25,000 to support Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s Bowdoin Street Health Center’s Supportive Birth Collaborative Program and ongoing research.

Founded in 1972, Bowdoin Street Health Center (BSHC), is BIDMC’s flagship community health center, and has been a cornerstone of Dorchester’s Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhood for more than 40 years. At the health center, BIDMC physicians and medical staff provide critical pediatric and adult primary care, with a specialization in chronic disease management, integrated behavioral health, and maternal care. In order to address the disparity in maternal care in low-income communities, BIDMC is implementing a program that supports collaborative maternal care incoporating culturally responsive doulas into all OB/GYN services.

Neighborhood House Charter School

$20,000 to support the Kevin Andrews Leadership Institute which is designed to attract, support, and retain highly qualified teachers, particularly those from historically under-represented minority groups, by offering dynamic opportunities for classroom educators to grow their leadership skills while contributing to NHCS’ development as an anti-racist organization.

Neighborhood House Charter School (NHCS) is a tuition-free open enrollment charter school for grades K1-12 in Dorchester, MA that is a public alternative to traditional district schools. Neighborhood House Charter School serves a diverse population of learners: of its more than 800 students, 84% of students are Black, Latinx, or of multi-racial backgrounds, with 9% considered English Language Learners, 67% high needs, and 52% economically disadvantaged by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  It offers a full spectrum of programs including general education and full-inclusion as well as partial-inclusion and substantially-separate programs for small groups of students with significant disabilities.

$25,000 to launch its Women of Color Initiative with a specific focus on disrupting barriers to the advancement of women of color through law school and into their early careers. As a result of this initiative, the experiences of these women of color in law school will improve and they will be more likely to complete their education and launch sustaining careers in the profession.

Ms. JD seeks to support and improve the experiences of women law students and lawyers through its blog, programming, virtual course library, resources and online community of thousands of women in the profession. Its goal is to expand and retain, while eliminating barriers to, a robust, diverse pipeline of women in the legal profession in the U.S. by providing an accessible network of training, mentoring and support from pre-law through early career.

Long Table Harvest is a grassroots organization with the mission to cultivate social and economic equality in the local food system through collaborations across its diverse rural community. LTH focuses on gleaning and distributing fresh fruits, vegetables and meats from local farms to food pantries and mobile markets as a way of alleviating the burden hunger plays on the community.

Karuna Center has 25 years of international experience in post-conflict healing and reconciliation in over 30 countries. Its mission is to empower people divided by conflict to develop mutual understanding and create sustainable peace and work where violent conflict has pitted ethnic or religious groups against each other, often examining the historical legacies left behind. Karuna Center leads initiatives to bridge damaging social and political divides and trains local leaders in conflict mitigation techniques.

Feeding Children Everywhere

$20,000 to cover the cost of meals, shipping, and handling for 500 Full Cart grocery boxes to families in the New York City area who have been identified as needing food assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Feeding Children Everywhere is dedicated to the vision of a hunger-free world. Since 2010, FCE has activated more than 800,000 volunteers to package and distribute over 127 million meals to children and families in need. FCE offers a wide range of programs, from international development to domestic meal distribution to disaster relief to micro farming grants. One of its most successful programs has been its Full Cart program, which provides grocery boxes each containing 125 meals of non perishable food to the doorsteps of families who are in the federal supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP), but had a low balance on their SNAP accounts.
