After serving twenty- two years as President of the Foundation, Ellis L. Phillips, III, also known as Larry, stepped down. Larry’s leadership helped guide the foundation’s giving priorities over the two decades and make several strategic, innovative grants. His last act as President was to welcome his nephew and successor, Hardy G. Watts as the new president of the foundation. Hardy has served on the Board for a number of years, and the directors are delighted to welcome this next generation of leadership. Kathryn and Ellis Phillips would be proud!
