David Lloyd Brown

 

David Lloyd Brown has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1991. His primary grant interests are in fine arts and music.

David is a painter and educator. He has exhibited for over 30 years in exhibitions in the United States, England and The Netherlands including the Chapel at Hull University, The Haven Gallery, Boston UK, The Ayscoughfee Hall Museum, Spalding, and Arts Coritani,, NK Gallery, The New England School of Art & Design, The Artists Foundation Boston, and The Boston Drawing Project at the Bernard Toale Gallery. His work is in the collections of Fidelity Corporation, and Putnam Investments as well as many private or corporate collections.

He received his Master of Fine Arts from Cornell University where he was Sage Graduate Fellow, the first fine art graduate student to be awarded this Arts and Humanities fellowship. He received his Bachelor of Fine Art from the Massachusetts College of Art where he returned in 2005 and 2006 to serve as a member of Alumni Advisory Committee.

He has taught painting, drawing and visual arts at the university level and he was the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts, until his retirement in 2014. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Boston Modern Orchestra Project and a Trustee on the St. Botolph Foundation.  David Lloyd Brown lives and works in Boston.
